This Film is in dedication to honoring our naturalness and how that journey can unfold for any being with curly hair. Aside from the destructive tactics thrown to us in the West, we as a people are going to find ways to come back home. At least from my perspective, I’ve come to that understanding.
In the times of starting Fiyah Botanicals, it was all just dreams - these combs being at the forefront of that imagined future. To me, being the change I want to see included turning down what I no longer want in or around my body, in conclusion my mind-spirit. This is a continuous start of solutions to problems I at one point felt hopeless to face.
Thank you to every person who encouraged me to keep pressing forward. Each being that helped me push obstacles out of my way. This video serves to me as a reminder of what’s possible when time becomes irrelevant and only the creation itself is in focus.
